December 2013 Updates

 Aladdin – Wed. 18th Dec

Pupils from Juniors to Sixth classes attended the Limerick Pantomime at the University Concert Hall with their teachers and parents. We left the school at 11.50am. The children were very excited  and  we had seats very near the front . Twink and the cast really involved the audience. The children sang along, and shouted up at the characters as you do at a Panto!

Towards the end of the show the teachers and pupils had a dance off. You can guess who won that!!! The Show was excellent and the children enjoyed it.

School Concert

On Thursday and Friday 19th and 20th December the Christmas Concert took place in the school. It was a great success. More than 50 guests (parents and family) attended over the two days. The children gave excellent performances.

The raffle was very well supported raising a total of €298.50. There were many winners of the lovely prizes provided by the Parents and Staff. David McGuinness provided 3 Prizes for a children’s raffle on Thursday.  Leah Butler, Jessica Dillon and Lillian Houlihan were the  three winners .

We are very grateful to the support given by  all those who attended and we  are very proud of all the children who worked so hard to prepare the Concert.

  1. Dear Teachers and pupils of Garrydoolis National School,
We are so delighted that you all enjoyed the panto, we loved having you here at UCH. We had such a great reaction to the show from all the primary schools that attended and from all the families that came along over the Christmas period. We do hope that you will come back again this year, we promise the panto will be even better!
Regards and a very Happy New Year!
Mairead, Emma and all at UCH!
