Best wishes Fr. Pat:

Our very best wishes for a speedy recovery are extended to Fr. Pat. He is in our thoughts and prayers and we hope to see him back visiting school very soon.

Clothes Recycling:

We thank all families and friends of the school who supported our recent clothes recycling event for N.C.B.I. An amazing 500 euros was raised for the school.

Sporting Achievements:

Best wishes are sent to Grace Leaden who will represent the school at the final of the Larkin Shield to be held in The Gaelic Grounds on Tuesday 28th November at 6.30pm. Congratulations are also extended to Alex Fox who has earned his place on the Limerick U-13 soccer team.

Anti-Bullying Week:

Anti-Bullying Week will take place during the week beginning December 4th. During this week, pupils will work together to create an Amber Hand Affirmations Display and will learn a song to be our Amber tune! Pupils are invited to wear odd socks to school on Friday December 8th to highlight the beauty of the fact that we all exhibit individual differences.

Student Council/ Amber Flag Coffee Morning:

We cordially invite you to attend our coffee morning on Friday December 8th, at the slightly later time of 10am-11am. Join us for a chat and sample some of the delightful bakes from our new oven! Students look forward to informing you about our Amber Flag Project.

Kris Kindle:

Our Student Council plans to organise a simple Kris Kindle in school this Christmas. All pupil and teacher names will go into the hat and each individual is asked to design and make a card for their Kris Kindle. Time will be devoted in class to this activity and we hope that it will promote “giving” in a cost free manner.

“Cinderella”:

We look forward to visiting UCH on Wednesday December 20th to enjoy a performance of “Cinderella.” The cost of both travel and the show is being subsidised by the school and works out at 10 euro per child. Please complete and return the permission slip attached in order that you child may attend. The bus will depart from the school at 9am and usual collection times will not be affected.

Christmas Raffle:

Teachers are currently busy gathering prizes for what we hope will be a most inviting raffle again this year. Should any family wish to contribute a prize, it will be most gratefully received. Tickets will be on sale in school during the week of the concert and also to parents before the shows. Monies raised will be used to subsidise the cost of our pupils’ trip to the panto. As always, we thank you most sincerely for your support.

Christmas Shows:

Junior pupils are currently busy preparing “Ralph the Reindeer”, while the senior room are working away on “Cinderella Rockerfella”. Both shows promise to be most entertaining, and excitement is already building amongst pupils at the prospect of performing for our families and friends on December 14th and 15th.

Christmas Colours Day:

Our Student Council proposes to run “Christmas Colours Day” on December 22nd, whereby all pupils are invited to wear their Christmas jumpers and other Christmas themed delights to school.

Christmas Holidays:

School will close at 12.15pm on Friday 22nd December for Christmas break and will reopen on Monday January 8th.

Our annual Open Afternoon for the Junior Infants of 2018/19 will take place Wednesday February 7th at 2.50pm. Parents are invited to attend along with children who are due to start school.
