Dear Parents and students,
The Parents’ Association begins its year of activities in a good financial position, thanks to the efforts of the previous Committee. With this in mind, along with the “Silver Circle” fundraising by the Board of Management, we anticipate that our events will be on a small scale, and run at low cost to students and their families.
The Parents’ Association will kick off its activities on March 4th, marking Pancake Tuesday. With the kind permission of the Board of Management, we will serve homemade pancakes, with a selection of toppings at lunch time in the Legion Room. Parents and siblings are most welcome to join us.
Pancakes will cost 30c each and promise to be delicious!
It was our pleasure to welcome 4 families to our school for our Open Day on February 18th, some of whom are very familiar faces!
We look forward to welcoming our new students in September 2014.
First Penance takes place on Thursday evening, and we thank most sincerely the parents of the Holy Communion candidates from Barna NS, for their invitation for refreshments afterwards. We also thank Ms Tina Hickey and Fr. Burns for their time and dedication in preparing the children for the Sacraments.
On Friday March 14th, we will serve green and white ice cream to celebrate our long St. Patrick’s Weekend. €1 per child.

This has proved an extremely successful fundraiser for the PA and we encourage you to start your collection soon to turn that trash into cash!
As a special Easter treat, we invite all pupils to participate in our “Easter Eggstravaganza” Treasure Hunt! Treats for everybody but they may not be that easy to find!!
